I recently posted about making your own felt board at home and I wanted to share how I made a felt snowman. As I said before, my girls love playing with the felt board; it is easy for them to rearrange the pieces. Believe me when I say, this will entertain your toddler for a while. With that said, it can be short lived since toddlers have limited attention spans. So I am always trying to come up with new and fun things I can buy or make with felt. Since it is winter, I thought a large snowman would be fun. We haven’t had good snow to make a real snowman yet and this is a great way to let your kids build a snowman without being in the cold!
In the video below, I will show you how simple it is to make the body and you can get as creative as you want with the accessories. I decided to make two different types of snowpeople so my girls can switch it up and get creative.
Supplies you need:
- 36″ x 36″ white felt (can be found here or here)
- stackable bowls (I had these for years and use them for the kids crafts, similar can be found here)
- scissors
